It was a rainy spring day, and tucked away alongside a winding gravel road, I pulled up to the cutest cabin in the woods of Red River Gorge. Amanda and Arden were to be wed, in a private ceremony in a trail riverbank.
Getting ready in their romantic little getaway in the woods, Arden and Amanda, so happily in each other’s presence, were also the most relaxed I’ve ever seen a couple on their special day. I truly believe that nerves dissolve when your soulmate is nearby; even more so when you spend your whole day together. After rolling up Amanda’s sleeves and placing Arden’s lovely, delicate bracelets on her wrists, Arden’s mother and sister arrived. During a tender moment, her mother placed her grandmother’s ring on her finger, and then Arden and Amanda were ready to step into their next adventure.
With a short drive over to Natural Bridge, we found a quiet trail, with a staircase leading up to a magical cave. The light so perfectly shined in, as Arden and Amanda explored and twirled their way through. Although the rain dampened the soil, and Arden’s dress turned a bit muddy, their trusting and carefree selves allowed us to create truly beautiful images together.
Soon after, next to a perfect little stream, with only their closest family and friends to witness, Arden and Amanda held hands, exchanged rings, and became one. Heartfelt words warmed the air, water flowed by our feet, and nature witnessed, yet again, the undying and incredible power of love.
Honored and grateful beyond words.
So much love to you, my friends.
